Any clothing that is soft to the touch and feels good against your skin is a keeper in my book. I recently got to wear the perfect wrap cover-up on a cool evening by Bobi, and I didn’t want to take it off!
Created by Kara Lusardi, Bobi is a women’s collection of casual tees to elegant gowns in a variety of jersey weights. As a fan of color, Bobi has many options from their palette to choose from which allows something for everyone. The line was created in 2006 and Kara specifically cuts the styles to be slimming and sexy by playing up areas that you want noticed –and playing down what you want to hide. Bobi is effortlessly chic and can be dressed up or down to each girl’s individual style.
Bobi has a great celebrity fan base that includes Madonna, Nicole Richie, Selena Gomez, Hilary Swank, Kim Khardashian and Giuliana Rancic.
This savvy fashionista definitely has a fab collection that is worth wearing where you can feel comfy and sexy at the same time. Bobi is based in Los Angeles, with her items sold worldwide.
Attention ladies in the LA area – it’s time for a Hair Revolution!
CLEAR SCALP & HAIR BEAUTY THERAPY™ is kicking off the “Right End” Hair Revolution to encourage women to work at the scalp, where 99% of hair’s natural strength and beauty comes from. CLEAR SCALP & HAIR BEAUTY THERAPY™ nourishes the scalp and creates the right foundation for strong, beautiful hair.
For years, women have been working at the ends of hair, rather than the foundation – the scalp. Now, it is time to make the switch and start working at the other end.
As the face, and hair, of the brand, Heidi Klum will be kicking off the day’s activities at 10:30 a.m. at The Grove in Los Angeles.
Various CLEAR experiences and activities will be running until 6:00pm including:
– Complimentary “strong and beautiful” wash & blowouts (walk-ins welcome!)
– Beauty consultations with local expert Stacy Cox
– The chance to win glamorous prizes (while supplies last)
– A photo booth to capture your gorgeous hair & share your new look with friends

For over 5 years now I’ve been keeping a secret that I am finally going to reveal to my readers – my favorite place to shop! Maybe it’s not a secret to most if you check my other social sites, but to be sure that we’re all on the same page my absolute #1 shopping destination is Crossroads Trading Co.!
Crossroads Trading Co. is a store where you can buy, sell, or trade clothes! I discovered this store in Evanston, IL when I started a new job and I must say ever since then I was hooked! I would come in once a week shopping for anything colorful and eye-catching, while also selling things I felt someone else could make better use of. The store employees knew my name, and I just loved all the great items I found, especially dresses! I was excited to see that they expanded to Wicker Park and Lincoln Park, which allowed me to see different neighborhood styles.
Fast forward to 2010 and I decided to pack up and move to sunny LA. One of the first things I did while preparing for my move is seeing if Crossroads was in LA and I was in luck! With 3 locations in the area, I always gravitate to the Santa Monica location. Housed near the 3rd St. Promenade, it’s the perfect location mixed in with other fun stores to pop into.
When I enter a Crossroads, the first thing I do is look around at the featured items hanging in the store and then I make a beeline to the dresses section. Over half of the dresses I own are from Crossroads and I’ve posted most of them on Pinterest.
The best thing about Crossroads to me is I feel like I’m giving back by selling clothes and then doing a trade so I can get credit to buy new things. It feels like an equal exchange where I don’t feel guilty for shopping! If you haven’t checked one out yet, don’t waste time, you never know what you may find!
On January 29th, 2013 Boston designer Daniela Corte debuted her leggings to LA tastemakers. Hosted by Los Angeles Confidential at the W Los Angeles-Westwood, the leggings event and celebration of the campaign “one for all. all for one. and all you,” offered Angelenos a first look at the collection of leggings. Creative director Ricardo Rodriguez was also in attendance to help celebrate the launch.
Daniela Corte’s leggings bar, features five different styles of leggings and will be available exclusively at Jill Roberts boutiques. The leggings are composed of the finest stretch knit which are designed to hold shape and color. Contour sare carefully selected, which enhance the length of the leg and create a strong vertical line. Leggings styles include the Nolita leggings ($225 retail) in six colors, as well as the Nolita eco-leather leggings ($235 retail), also in six colors. Both are as comfortable as sweats, but look polished and elegant. Corte has designed the leggings to be perfect for all ages, shapes and styles.
Daniela Corte was founded in 2000, and enjoys an ardent following among busy, discerning lovers of great personal style. As principal designer, Daniela Corte guides her collections with her expert eye and unyielding, impeccable taste. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, South America’s fashion capital, her father, a menswear designer introduced her to her first bolt of silk when she was six, and she was hooked for life.
After training in the family business, graduating from The School of Fashion Design – Boston, and working with several well-known Boston designers, Corte brought her timeless designs to Newbury Street by opening the doors to her retail store in 2011. She definitely has the leg up on the fashion scene and what women want!

A great gift to give during the festive season is wine. There are many options out there, but one I have just been introduced to is Thorny Rose.
With a refreshing, medium-bodied style, Thorny Rose is an affordable ($11) and delicious wine, making it a great stocking stuffer, holiday party hostess gift or a token of appreciation for your office BFF.
The invite-only crowd sipped the new varietals (Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Red Blend), and enjoyed specialty small bites, including Grilled Cheese & Beef Short Rib, Fresh Ricotta Bruschetta with Fig, Truffle Risotto Balls, Chicken Empanadas and Mini Creme Brulee Pear Tarts for dessert.
While guests bowled strikes and played custom Jenga games, the famed indie pop band the White Arrows kept the hip crowd moving with their DJ set and live performance.
ABOUT THORNY ROSE:
Thorny Rose; noun, a metaphor for life. With modern packaging, approachable positioning and bright-fruit, refreshing, medium-bodied style, Thorny Rose encourages you to enjoy wine drinking on your own terms.
Availability: $10.99 (750ml, screw cap); local wine and food stores nationwide (in LA: Vons, Jubilee Liquor, Assi International Market, Arcade Liquor)
