Filling your world with COLOR through fashion, beauty, food, lifestyle etc.!

Dear Jewelry Designers,

I have a bone to pick with some of you.

First of all, a huge thank you to those that create a full gamut of colorful jewelry using silver.  You are catering to women who don’t wear gold and you’re the perfect designer, similar to a fashion designer that makes clothing for all shapes and sizes.  That’s Mine! is a prime example that many can learn from.  I appreciate you and I’m seeking more like you – where are you hiding?

Second, this letter is an open plea and observation to jewelry designers who only use  gold as a finish – why?  Is it the trend, the social norm, or fear of trying something different?  When I go into stores all over town, I see some of the most colorful jewelry, but then I stop short of that because it’s gold.  Not sure who decided that gold was the “it” type of jewelry to make, but it’s disappointing that I cannot find quality silver jewelry that is colorful for my taste.

I used to wear gold in college and now I am a silver gal who feels that it works with my skin tone and clothing I wear.  One would think that it wouldn’t be an issue to find statement necklaces, dangly earrings, and chunky bracelets that were silver and colorful, but yep, this girl is having that problem.

I’ve considered starting my own jewelry line to fill the void so I can get what I want and also give ladies out there other options because I know I’m not the only one feeling this way.  So this letter is a challenge to those who would like to step up to the plate and start producing silver jewelry or show me that you are doing it already.

I mean, it’s nice for a girl to have options when it comes to jewelry, right?

…remember the song silver and gold?- Silver and gold, silver and gold
Everyone wishes for silver and gold. How do you measure its worth? Just by the pleasure it gives… Well, someone said that I don’t look good with silver, because of my skin tone- olive tone) – but I highly disagreed I think both silver gold look pretty good on me no matter what.,as for -Fashion/ ERA – so long as it marrys well with your Ensemble- also depending upon your neckline – for earrings and necklaces, that is. Long swan like necks gorgeous for dangling earrings and necklaces of any length.

As for My favorite Fashionista – your skin tone is perfect for gold as well!
